On the 23rd of July, I told you of my war with the tree in my yard.
The War is over!
The picture shows you who won!
(It wasn't the tree.)
o.k.....
I must confess....
I didn't cut it down ...
I traded cat sitting for tree chopping...
;-)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Mix the ingredients together and form one inch balls.
Roll in sugar if desired. (Powered, brown, "regular" sugar or even colored sugar)
Place on a cookie sheet about an inch or two apart.
Embelish as desired. You may top these cookies with M&M's, a bit of jam, sprinkles... your imagination is really the only limit. Experiment and discover your favorite combination.
Cook for about 8 minutes or until done. Cookies will continue cooking a bit on the baking sheets. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the pans.
Share your creations with your favorite people!

The stump would make a good foundation for a plant pot. And maybe the centerpiece for a new flower bed?
My son has been sitting on it everytime we've been outside today. So, I don't know if I should even be tempted to cover it up. =-)
