Just plain silly!

Wandering down the path,
I absorbed the atmosphere of the fair...
I was so pleased to have managed a second trip.
I did a double take and laughed out loud
when I saw the giant
wack em and make the bell ring thingy
that was part of the Wahl beard and hair trimming display.
I quickly handed my camera off to my friend
and hopped into line.
I nearly fell over chuckling
when I missed my mark on my first swing.
Subsequent hits weren't honestly much better.
I didn't even get close to making the bell ring,
though the man behind me almost had it.
I did however win a kelly green comb
and the encouragement of other onlookers.
chuckle...
sigh...
roll your eyes...
Gosh I love the fair!

Embrace the sandwich!

I must say that I completely,

wholeheartedly,

endorse the creation of,

and consumption of,

grilled peanut butter and jelly!

Wow!

Yum!

What fun!

In an effort to embrace all the blessings life has to offer,

I have a happy policy.

I try to make it my point to try new innocent things.

I firmly have resolved that if I won't have to confess it or regret it...

I'll give it a try.

I draw the line at dangerous stuff,

like jumping out of airplanes.

Or insanely crazy things that would embarrass myself

and others.

I do after all love my family

and value my job.

Even with these small caveats,

the world is an amazing place,

full of harmless happiness,

around every corner.
