What a day we had!
Do you see my lovely alligator?
I painted him....
with my foot!
Yup...
holding a paintbrush between my toes,
my critter came to life.

You see,
it was the end of our Pirate Summer Reading Program today
and the sad truth is that alligators and pirates
tend to have problems.

Tragically,
alligators had eaten the arms of all my students
and they had to create pictures to show their friends
so that they could hunt the creatures down!

Sitting on the floor,
my kiddos first had to write their names
with their feet using crayons.
Then they had to paint their animals.

Laughing and playing,
we had so much fun.
The finished creatures were absolutely adorable.

By far,
my favorite craft of the summer!
