Standing on the wide counter that runs along our Library Classroom wall, my dear ones love to have a go at reading our Sight Word wall. "High" above their friends heads, they are delighted at the daring adventure. In reality, I'm standing right beside them. I will not let them fall. It's not even a real possibility. But, in my student's minds, it seems a bit on the wild side and therefore appealing.
It makes me chuckle when they clamber for a chance to "read" or to be the one turned upside down to recite the months of the year. What goofy "fun" we have together. Don't tell them we're learning too!
