With a zest for life that warms my heart,
my students searched for critters.
Before we went outside,
we made a chart predicting what we thought we would see.
Everyone's thoughts were recorded.
Outside,
the wonder of the world made my charges,
squeal and run.
Though the "lesson objective" was to practice making predictions and observations,
the true joy was something more wonderful and less tangible.
Learning happened...
Life was celebrated...
Kindergarten was in session....
